The Department of Information Technology Management at the Shidler College
of Business, University of Hawai'i Manoa, will be recruiting for a tenure
track position (full-time, 9 months) in Information Systems at the
Assistant professor level. The position will begin Aug 1, 2014, pending
availability of funds and position clearance. Salaries are competitive and
are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Job responsibilities: Faculty are expect to teach undergraduate, graduate,
and executive courses in Information Systems, conduct academic research and
engage in scholarly activities, and participate in university, college,
department and other service activities.
Qualifications: Applicants must hold a PhD in Information Systems or
closely related fields. Candidates near completion of the doctorate will be
considered, provided that all degree requirements are completed by August
1, 2014. Applicants at the assistant level must provide evidence of
teaching ability at college / university level in Information Systems
courses and of research capability, as indicated by refereed publications,
works under review, and/or works-in-progress. Desirable qualifications
include previous experience teaching courses in Information Systems, a
scholarly research program and publications in the Information Systems
field, interest in the Asia/Pacific region for teaching and/or research,
professional work experience in the Information Systems or related business
field, and excellent communication skills.

The Information Technology Management (ITM) Department offers an
undergraduate major in Management of Information Systems, electives in
Information Systems at the MBA level, a concentration in global information
technology management in the international management PhD program, and
