Tenure Track Faculty Position in Information Systems (IS)

DEPARTMENT: The Department of Industrial Engineering and Management has approximately 35 tenured and tenure-track faculty members, 800 undergraduate students and 200 graduate students in its Master and Doctoral programs. Students in our undergraduate program study toward a Bachelor (B.Sc.) Engineering degree, and can major in IS. Students in the graduate program study toward a Master (M.Sc.) or a Doctoral (Ph.D.) Engineering degree, and can also major in IS. The department has recently started offering a special concentration in Data Science and Business Analytics.


RESPONSIBILITIES: Conducting scholarly research and publishing research outcomes in top journals and conferences, acquiring grants to support high-quality scholarly research, teaching (in Hebrew) undergraduate and graduate courses, and serving on academic committees.


POSITION: The rank of the tenure track position would match the credentials of the candidate and the appointment can start as early as October 2014.


QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants are sought with

·         Ph.D. degree (or expected to receive by the start the appointment) in IEM, IS, or related fields, preferably with some post doctoral research and teaching experience.

·         Primary interest, professional experience and proven work in Business Analytics, Data Science, Decision Support Systems, Information Security, Knowledge Management, IS Design, Software Quality Engineering, IS Strategy, IS Economics, Engineering Applications, or other related IS areas.

·      Strong commitment and high potential for excelling in research, collaborating with peers and publishing in top journals.

·      Excellent teaching skills.

·      Knowledge of Hebrew

·      High proficiency in English
