The University of Nevada, Reno, Department of Information Systems in the College of Business invites applications for a non-tenure-track renewable Lecturer position in Information Systems to start in the fall semester 2014. The primary responsibility for this position is to provide excellent instruction while teaching core introductory Information Systems courses at the undergraduate level. The normal teaching load is 4 courses/semester. Additionally, the position requires contributions to the mission of the university by advising and mentoring students, providing service and other shared governance activities, and by facilitating connections with the regional business community. The successful candidate is an innovative, energetic and exciting instructor, with experience engaging entry-level undergraduate students in large (200 student) classes. The qualified candidate holds a Master's degree in Information Systems or a closely related field from an accredited university with experience teaching at the undergraduate level. The preferred candidate has at least 2-3 years of work experience in information systems and a strong understanding of how technology supports a business enterprise.
