The SC&IS Department of the Smeal College of Business invites applicants for a tenure-track position in the Information Systems area to begin fall 2015.

Candidates for the Full or Associate Professor level must have a strong commitment to pursue high-impact research focused on relevant problems in information systems, particularly in business analytics, ERP and business processes, healthcare IT, and information security; to contribute to the development and successful placement of doctoral students in top research universities; to support program-building efforts via service and scholarship; to teach successfully in both graduate and undergraduate programs; to support industry outreach initiatives; and to promote interdisciplinary research collaboration. Salary, rank, and endowment opportunities are competitive.

Candidates for the Assistant Professor level must have a doctorate (granted or nearly complete) in information systems or a directly related primary field with emphasis in the topics listed above. The primary selection criteria are outstanding research potential, excellent teaching capabilities, and strong recommendations.

Conferences:  Department representatives plan to attend the INFORMS CIST meeting in San Francisco, November 8-9; and the Decision Sciences Institute meeting in Tampa, November 22-25.  Candidates interested in being considered for a preliminary interview at one of these conferences should submit their materials by October 31, 2014.

The CV should include education, publications, scholarly activities, research funding, courses taught, evidence of teaching capability, and professional work experience.
Applicants for Assistant Professor rank, please upload a letter of application containing a clear statement of specific research and teaching interests, CV, graduate transcripts, and contact information only for three references.
