The College of Business at Florida State University invites applications for one tenure-track, assistantprofessor position in Business Analytics. The start date is August 2015. Preference will be given tocandidates whose research interests focus on business analytics and have a strong background incomputer science, information systems, econometrics and/or statistics. We are interested in applicantsfocused on (but not limited to) the following topics: computational modeling, Bayesian models,databases, and/or the development of novel analytical models for unstructured data.
Successful candidates must be willing to work with current faculty in the College of Business and otherbusiness analytics-related faculty across the university to develop a vibrant, interdisciplinary businessanalytics research program. Potential candidates should have a willingness to teach both graduate andundergraduate courses, including online courses. Preference will be given to applicants who have adoctorate from an accredited institution at the time of appointment. Seasoned assistant professors with a solid track record of scholarship and teaching excellence are strongly encouraged to apply.Ideally, candidates should have close relationships with industry and/or have conducted company-sponsored research.
