Dear IS community,
this year, the European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS) will take place in Muenster,
Germany from 26-29 May (http://www.ecis2015.eu<http://www.ecis2015.eu/>). The theme of the conference will be
'The Networked Society'.
With this email, we like to invite you to submit a proposal for a panel discussion at ECIS2015.
We decided to postpone the initial deadline for panel proposals by one week, so the new submission
deadline is now Friday, 6 March.
Please find the detailed call for panels here: http://www.ecis2015.eu/participation/call-for-panels
We are looking forward to welcoming you in Muenster in 2015!

THE NETWORKED SOCIETY
Modern society is a networked society permeated by information technology (IT), defining ECIS 2015's Conference Theme.
Networks, perceived as a group of organisations and people connected on several aspects who exchange information,
contacts, and experience for professional or social purposes, leave their mark on almost every area of our society and
promise diverse advantages to those involved.
>From a technical perspective, enormous amounts of information can be communicated to a larger number of recipients
faster than ever before. The evolution of networks is heavily influenced by the extensive use of Information Systems,
which has enabled co-evolving advanced quantitative and qualitative forms of networking.
ECIS 2015 should be a meeting place for European and also non-European researchers in the field of Information
Systems from various cultures and countries and should reflect the specific and innovative research in Information
Systems dealing with the overarching networked society.
