Visiting Assistant Professor of MIS, 2015-2016
School of Business Administration
The School of Business Administration at Oakland University seeks to fill a
Visiting Assistant Professor of MIS position for 2015-2016 academic year to
teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in MIS and to maintain
research and service activities appropriate to the level of appointment. The
teaching load is 6 classes per academic year. Class sizes are moderate.
Required Qualifications
* A Ph.D. or ABD status in Management Information Systems or
equivalent
* Evidence of teaching experience and scholarly achievement
commensurate with a Visiting Assistant Professor appointment
Desired Characteristics/Qualifications
* All research and teaching areas in Management Information Systems
will be considered (preference given to those who can teach in the areas of
project management, information security management, and business analytics)
* Evidence of effective undergraduate and/or graduate teaching
experience in MIS
* Evidence of scholarly activity that has positively impacted
academic or professional audiences
* Ability to effectively collaborate with other faculty members
* Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences

Department of Decision and Information Sciences
The DIS department offers an undergraduate degree in MIS, a Master of
Science in Information Technology Management (MSITM) with a concentration in
Business Analytics or Information Security Management, and a Combined
Bachelor and Master Degree (4+1 Plan). Students can also pursue a general
MSITM degree with focus on IS Strategy and Management.

School of Business Administration
Oakland University School of Business Administration is one of fewer than
178 institutions worldwide (less than 5%) to hold AACSB accreditation in
both Business and Accounting, assuring quality and continuous improvement in
its programs, faculty and resources. Specifically, the SBA offers eight
undergraduate majors, an MBA with eleven concentrations, a Master of
Accounting, a Master of Science in Information Technology Management, and an
Executive MBA with tracks in Health Care Management and Information Systems
