*Position:*  The Farmer School of Business at Miami University (Ohio) is
seeking qualified candidates for a tenure-track position in the Department
of Information Systems and Analytics (ISA) starting August 2016.  Priority
hiring is at the Assistant professor level, however, highly qualified,
experienced candidates may be considered at the rank of Associate
Professor.



The ISA department supports academic programs that blend the disciplines of
Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics and Management Science to
help organizations manage, understand, and gain insights from data.   Our
department consists of 17 permanent faculty and enjoys a strong culture of
collaboration across the Farmer School of Business, Miami University, and
with industry.  Our rigorous academic programs emphasize real data,
experiential learning and a project-based curriculum.   The ISA department
offers a major in Information Systems, a co-major in Analytics, a minor in
Information Systems, a minor in Business Analytics, and a graduate
certificate for professionals in Analytics.  In addition, the newly
established Center for Analytics and Data Science offers opportunities for
collaborative research and program development in the areas of analytics
and data science.



We seek outstanding applicants with a strong commitment to teaching,
research, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to contribute to our
department.  Strong candidates will have prior academic experience in a
business school environment, work experience in analytics, statistics,
information technology, or a related area.



Candidates must demonstrate research interests in any areas related to
analytics or information systems, with strong teaching interests in
technology and data management related to business intelligence, big data
and data analytics.



*Requirements for Position:*  Candidates must have completed a doctorate in
Information Systems, Statistics, Management science or Analytics-related
areas by12/31/2016. Candidates must be willing to work/participate in
teaching/research in the cross-disciplinary environment of Analytics and
Information Systems. Candidates should possess a strong desire to attract,
engage, and educate the strongest students in the evolving fields of
Analytics and Information Systems.   Qualified candidates at the Assistant
Professor level must demonstrate potential for an active research agenda
and potential for innovative and effective teaching.   To be considered at
the rank of Associate Professor, candidates must have prior academic
experience, a well-developed research portfolio, and strong evidence of
teaching excellence.

the positions are filled.  Start date of positions are August 2016.
