Basel, Switzerland, October 14-15, 2015
www.es2015.org<http://www.es2015.org>

CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

The ES2015 conference focuses on both the technical and application aspects of enterprise systems technology, and the complex and cross-disciplinary problems of enterprise integration. The conference includes compelling invited talks by John Zachman and Dimitris Karagiannis and peer-reviewed papers (see www.es2015.org/program<http://www.es2015.org/program>), interspersed with multiple opportunities for networking.

The conference brings together scholars and researchers addressing critical information issues in Enterprise Systems. ES2015 pushes the boundaries of information systems studies, explores core concepts and ideas, and creates new technological and conceptual solutions to today's business' challenges. Increased flexibility and agility, co-operation, continuous improvement, knowledge work and the progress towards learning organisations are important challenges for enterprises. Enterprise Systems (ES) - also called Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) - are key assets to deal with these challenges. They enable industrial organizations and public administrations to effectively exploit information for sustaining success of the enterprises. They provide the basis for effective decision making and allow for new business models.

The conference ES 2015 is hosted by the FHNW University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland. The Enterprise Systems conference series is jointly supported by the IEEE Technical Committees Enterprise Architecture and Engineering<http://www.ieeesmc.org/technical-activities/systems-science-and-engineering/enterprise-architecture-and-engineering> and Enterprise Information Systems<http://www.ieeesmc.org/technical-activities/systems-science-and-engineering/enterprise-information-systems>. Previous Enterprise Systems conferences were held in Cape Town, South Africa (ES 2013), and in Shanghai, China (ES 2014)<http://www.2014es.sjtu.edu.cn>.

The third International Conference on Enterprise Systems (ES2015) takes place Wednesday and Thursday, October 14 to 15, 2015, in beautiful Basel, Switzerland. The conference venue, FHNW's Academy of Art and Design<http://www.es2015.org/venue> in Basel is a building of contemporary architecture dedicated in October 2014. The academy is located in a nearby outskirt of Basel in close distance to many hotels and well located near a large park. The historic city center is easily reached by public transportation by tramway. Other attractions include the famous Tinguely Museum<http://www.tinguely.ch/en.html> and the Fondation Beyeler<http://www.fondationbeyeler.ch/en/Home>.
