The Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences is one of five faculties at the University of Adelaide. It is a centre for learning, teaching and research in a vast range of engineering disciplines, computer science and high level mathematics. The School of Computer Science is one of seven schools that make up the Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences. It offers high quality accredited degrees in computer science, and software engineering, has strong links with industry and a robust research ethos.
We are inviting applications for two continuing positions at the Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level. The successful candidates will have the ability to teach in a wide range of core computer science subjects, and whose research interests align with one of the following research areas of strength within the School: Distributed Computing, Software Engineering, and Optimisation and Logistics.
Salary: (Level B) $88.371 - $105,371 / (Level C) $108,690 - $125,333 per annum.
Superannuation: An employer contribution of 17% applies.
Term of position: These are continuing positions and are available in 2016.
Position requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:
A PhD in Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
Teaching experience demonstrating both commitment and success; or a demonstrated capacity to develop the skills that enable effective and inspirational participation in the teaching program of the school.
Ability to significantly contribute to the teaching and administration of subjects (including curriculum development) within the range of subjects offered by the school.
Ability to significantly contribute to world class research within one of the following areas: Distributed Computing, Software Engineering, and Optimisation and Logistics.
High level of oral and written communication skills in English.
Applicants with strengths in Software Engineering teaching are particularly encouraged.
