[AISWorld] A Gentle Reminder - Inaugural Meeting of the College of Academic Leadership cum ISAHI Annual Breakfast Meeting to be held at ICIS 2015

A Gentle Reminder of the following event, and thank you for those who have
already responded to it

The College of Academic Leadership (a newly established College within the
Association for Information Systems, AIS) and the Information Systems
Academic Heads International (ISAHI) are pleased to jointly announce to host
the Inaugural Meeting of the College of Academic Leadership cum ISAHI Annual
Breakfast Meeting to be held at ICIS 2015. 

The College of Academic Leadership is a college of the Association for
Information Systems (AIS). The purpose of the College is to further the
common interests of administrative heads responsible for university level
colleges, schools, institutes and departments for Information Systems (e.g.,
Department Chairs, Academic Heads, Heads of School, Deans, Directors and
Conveners); to facilitate sharing of information and resources; to sponsor
relevant development activities; to promote professional management of these
organizations; to facilitate mentorships, and other activities deemed
appropriate by the college members.

The breakfast meeting will be on 15 December 2015 starting 7:30 am (probably
in the Omni Fort Worth Hotel, waiting for the final confirmation).  The
meeting is open to IS department heads and IS leaders who are members of the
AIS and lead research and teaching programs at their respective schools.
Breakfast is provided - courtesy of three sponsoring schools, including
Georgia State University, the University of Georgia and the University of
Memphis. To plan for the catering, and given the room-size constraint, prior
registration is strongly recommended - please email

Short presentations of topics that are interested to IS department heads and
leaders followed by a discussion among the attendees are welcomed.  Those
interested in doing such presentations are encouraged to note their interest
in their registration email.  

In the meeting, we will also discuss and hopefully approve a proposal on
supporting the establishment of a professional development symposium at
AMCIS 2016. Moreover, it is a good opportunity for academic leaders to sit
together to chart a plan for the key directions and activities of the
College in the coming three to five years.  Last but not the least, it is
with the intention that with the formal establishment of the College, the
ISAHI will be "transformed" to be the College of Academic Leadership.
