**** Three Junior-Professor Positions with Tenure Track (Full Professor) ********

The University of Duisburg-Essen intends to fill the following positions at the Institute for Computer Science and Business Information Systems for the earliest possible date

Three Junior Professorships (Bes.-Gr. W 1) for „Informatics“ - Computer Science (with tenure-track to Full Professor (Bes.-Gr. W 3))

The tenure-track positions open a continuous perspective for excellent scientists, provided the requirements of the tenure track evaluation are satisfied. We are particularly interested in researchers who exhibit a high scientific potential and the capability to create innovative solutions at an early stage of their career. We plan to support each of the three Junior Professors with scientific assistants.

University of Duisburg-Essen aims to establish the profile “Digital Connected World” in the field of Computer Science and beyond as one of the main research areas of the University of Duisburg-Essen. This profile will provide an excellent opportunity for the working areas of the Junior Professors. Applicants are asked to state their scientific excellence and their potential significant research contribution to the profile “Digital Connected World”.

The specific scientific profile of an applicant within the field “Informatics/Computer Science” is left open. Potential scientific areas are - non-exclusively - big data, human-computer interaction privacy or security.

In the first phase of the Junior-Professorship four hours of teaching are obligatory, in the second phase five hours. Teaching is mainly designated to the master courses of the ICB.
