The Department of Information Systems & Decision Sciences in the Carlson
School of Management at the University of Minnesota is seeking candidates
for one full-time, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor faculty
position starting Fall 2016. The department is ranked 3rd by US News and
World Report for both under-graduate and graduate programs in MIS and also
plays a key role in the expanding business analytics offerings at the
Carlson School. The new launched MS-Business Analytics full-time program
had 100% coast-to- coast job placements in its inaugural year and has now
expanded to offer a part-time version for working professionals. The
department's research and teaching mission are supported by a variety of
outreach initiatives including the MIS Research Center (MISRC), the Social
Media and Business Analytics Collaborative (SOBACO), and the newly formed
Carlson Analytics Lab - an experiential learning program for the MSBA
program.
Applicants must have a strong research program and an earned doctorate (or
assurance of receiving the doctorate before August 31, 2016) in information
systems, or a related field in line with our teaching and research
interests in IS and Business Analytics. Responsibilities include carrying
out the teaching, research, and service mission of the department.

Application deadline: To ensure consideration, applications must be

screening interviews in the first two weeks of December, just prior to the
International Conference on Information Systems, via our videoconferencing
