Position 1:

Lecturer, Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of Management Information Systems

Rowe School of Business, Dalhousie University



The Rowe School of Business invites applications for a probationary tenure-track, tenure-track or tenured appointment in Management Information Systems at the rank of Lecturer, Assistant Professor or Associate Professor (dependent upon qualifications and experience) commencing July 1, 2016 (negotiable). Applicants must have a PhD (or be ABD) in a relevant discipline, and must have a business degree. Evidence of teaching effectiveness and research performance or potential is required. Candidates must be able to meet the School's accrediting body's (AACSB) academic qualification requirements.



The successful applicant will be expected to engage in leading-edge research with faculty and students in Management Information Systems, to teach introductory MIS at the graduate and undergraduate levels, and to contribute to the academic life of the School through committee service and other activities. Preference will be given to candidates who are also able to teach advanced electives such as Business Analytics and Data Visualization, Databases and Data Mining, Research Methods in MIS/HCI, Cyber-Physical Systems Design or Business Process Integration using ERP Systems. While recent experience teaching with SAP and ERPSim will be considered an asset, we will provide training as needed.

Position 2:

Lecturer or Assistant Professor in Management Information Systems

Rowe School of Business, Dalhousie University



The Rowe School of Business invites applications for a three-year limited-term appointment in Management Information Systems at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor commencing July 1, 2016. Applicants must have a PhD or be ABD (preferably in Management Information Systems or a related field), and will ideally have teaching experience using ERPSim and Microsoft Office applications. Experience teaching in a computer lab environment is strongly desired. Candidates must also be able to meet the School's accrediting body's (AACSB) Academic Qualification requirements.



The successful applicant will be expected to be able to engage in research with faculty and students in Management Information Systems, to teach at the undergraduate level, and to contribute to the academic life of the School through committee service and other activities. The applicant will be expected to teach Core Business Applications and Management Information Systems to undergraduate students. While recent experience teaching with SAP ERPSim will be considered an asset, we will provide training as needed.
