The Department of Management and Information Systems at the Wayne State
University's Mike Ilitch School of Business is seeking to fill a tenure
track position in Information Systems to begin Fall of 2017 at the
assistant, associate or professor level. Candidates will be expected to
conduct research suitable for publication in top tier journals, teach
courses in areas of interest at the undergraduate and graduate level,
participate in department and school governance activities, and perform
related duties as assigned.
Requirements for the position include a Ph.D. in Information Systems or
a relevant discipline, and a record of publication in leading academic
journals (Associate and Professor level) or evidence of potential to
publish in leading academic journals, refereed conference proceedings
and presentations, or other academic publications (Assistant level).
Also desired is a record of excellence in teaching IS core and
concentration courses such as Analysis of Big Data, Databases, Data
Analytics, and/or other information systems courses at the
undergraduate and graduate level. Finally, the ideal candidate would
have a record of service to the profession, the ability to establish
effective relationships with faculty and staff, and to be mentors to
students. Salary and benefits packages are competitive.

expand the number of faculty in the department as well as the area's
