The University of Hong Kong has two (2) open positions that can be
filled by information systems Ph.D.’s. See Ref.: 201601298 and 201601295.
Founded in 1911, the University of Hong Kong is committed to the highest

years. The University has a comprehensive range of study programmes and
research disciplines spread across 10 faculties and over 140 academic
departments and institutes/centres. There are 28,000 undergraduate and
postgraduate students who are recruited globally, and more than 2,000
members of academic and academic-related staff coming from
multi-cultural backgrounds, many of whom are internationally renowned.
_First position: Tenure-Track Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in
Information Systems (Ref.: 201601298)_
Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Associate
Professor/Assistant Professor in Information Systems in the School of
Business, to commence on July 1, 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter,
on a three-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal.
Exceptionally outstanding candidates at the Associate Professor level
may be considered for appointment on tenure terms.
This position is a traditional Information Systems position. Applicants
should have a Ph.D. degree in Information Systems or a closely related
discipline. There is not particular requirement for area of research
focus. Experience in teaching MBA courses is especially preferred for
candidates at the Associate Professor level. Interest in teaching
business analytics courses is a positive but not required.
_Second position: Tenure-Track Associate Professor/Assistant Professor
in Business Analytics (Ref.: 201601295)_
Applications are also invited for appointments as Tenure-Track Associate
Professor/Assistant Professor in Business Analytics in the School of
Business, to commence on July 1, 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter,
on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in Information Systems, Operations
Management, or a closely related data-analytics discipline. The School
is particularly interested in those who conduct high-quality scholarly
research and are able to teach courses in business analytics (e.g., big
data related issues) and related areas. Experience in teaching MBA
courses is especially preferred for candidates at the Associate

A globally competitive remuneration package commensurate with the
appointee's qualifications and experience will be offered. At current
rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment
will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a
retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary, as well
as leave, and medical benefits. Housing benefits will be provided as
