The Division of Science, Information Arts and Technologies at the
University of Baltimore invites applications for a full-time,

Applied Information Technology (AIT) program to begin in August 2017.
All positions at the University of Baltimore are subject to budgetary
approval. Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. or other terminal
degree in computer science, information technology, computer
information systems, or a closely related field, from an accredited
institution. Relevant teaching experience is required. Industry
experience desired.
Candidates must have a strong commitment to teaching and a
demonstrated ability to instruct courses in information assurance
and/or cyber security. Potential candidates will also need to

publications commensurate with the rank of the position. Salary is
competitive; determinations will be informed by qualifications and
experience.
The Applied Information Technology Program at UB is undergoing
exciting changes as it expands to four years and splits into
cutting-edge tracks of study; this position represents a wonderful
opportunity to play a key role in this rebirth. The Division of
Science, Information Arts and Technologies offers three bachelor’s
degrees, three post baccalaureate certificates, a two graduate
degrees. Teaching responsibilities for this position primarily lie in
the bachelor’s degree program in AIT, but may also include general
education and courses in the division’s graduate degree programs.
The University of Baltimore, a component of the University System of
Maryland, serves a diverse urban community with an emphasis on
“knowledge that works.” The Division of Science, Information Arts and
Technologies, a unit of the Yale Gordon College of Arts and Sciences,
has thirteen full-time faculty and six affiliated faculty. This
position represents an exciting opportunity to participate in the
development of a rapidly expanding program, academic division, and
university.
The position is open until filled, and completed applications received
by January 25, 2017 will receive priority consideration.
