We are currently recruiting for an Associate/Full Professor of Information
Systems with a special emphasis on cybersecurity. Kennesaw State
University is proud to host a newly created Institute for Cybersecurity
Workforce Development. The ideal hire will lead all aspects this Institute
(i.e., research, education, and outreach). Ideal candidates will have 1)
an outstanding record of security-related scholarship demonstrated by
publications in our top journals, editorial experience, and demonstrated
grant writing success, 2) previous experience with effective program
development, and 3) a track record of effective industry engagement. 

Kennesaw State University has a rich history in the area of information
security hosting an undergraduate major, undergraduate concentration and
minors, a graduate certificate, as well as a DBA program with students
studying security-related topics. Our faculty are recognized textbook
authors and researchers in cybersecurity; many of whom have extensive
industry experience. We host a number of security related events including
the annual Cybersecurity Education, Research, and Practice conference as
well as the Southeast Regional Cyberdefense Competition for area students.
The Institute will bring together faculty from multiple colleges and
departments including: computer science, information technology,
information systems, and criminal justice. Opportunities for creative,
interdisciplinary engagement make the Institute a centerpiece for the
State of Georgia's efforts to become a Cybersecurity Hub.

An earned doctorate in Information Systems or closely related area from a
nationally accredited institution is required. To guarantee full
