The 2017 AIS Special Interest Group on Systems Analysis and Design (SIGSAND) hosts an annual symposium to promote and develop high quality research on all issues related to Systems Analysis & Design (SAND). This year, the symposium will be hosted by the Operations, Business Analytics & Information Systems department at the Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati on May 19-20, 2017. The symposium is intended to be a forum for scholars, practitioners, and doctoral students interested in SAND to exchange ideas and encourage collaboration. The developmental nature of the symposium encourages, but is not limited to, research in progress. More information about the symposium is now available online at business.uc.edu/sigsand2017
SIGSAND promotes the participation and presentation of PhD students at annual symposiums. This year's symposium will grant three US$400 travel awards to doctoral students who are lead authors of accepted papers to attend and present their work at the symposium. SIGSAND has established a special committee charged to select the top three doctoral student papers and issue the awards. Instructions for submitting a manuscript and applying for the award will be available on the website at business.uc.edu/sigsand2017 after February 10, 2017. Key dates for the symposium are posted below.
