Dear colleagues,

We would like to thank all of you again for contributing to the AIS Global IS Education Report 2017. The report is now available at:

http://eduglopedia.org/ais-global-is-education-report-2017-syllabus

In the following, we briefly outline the objectives of the report, illustrate highlights of the 2017 report and link to the online access of the initiative to maintain and enrich your data throughout the year.

THE OBJECTIVES

The AIS Global IS Education Report is an initiative by the community to provide an integrated view of information systems (IS) educational offerings around the world. The field of IS, as an academic discipline, has developed into an impressive collection of educational programs and resources worldwide, but until the first report published in 2016 there had been no consolidated record of such offerings on a global scale.

The report will be disseminated to stakeholders, including prospective students, industry partners, and governmental institutions in order to demonstrate the impact our IS discipline has, educating for the digital society and economy in all regions of the world.

THE 2017 REPORT

Compared to the 2016 report, the new 2017 report has nearly doubled in size. We are grateful for the extraordinary support of the IS community. The institutions themselves provided all data, following multiple calls via the AISWorld mailing list. The report counts 588 pages and is based on 2,900 courses in more than 740 programs. The collection will be updated continually via the www.eduglopedia.org platform, and an updated report will be issued each year.

THE ONLINE ACCESS

Since this report is only a start towards bringing together the global IS educational offerings, we encourage readers to look at institutions' online profiles on www.eduglopedia.org, which you can all update and enrich throughout the year. The call for the 2018 report will be launched shortly.

We hope you will enjoy reading the report and that you will find it useful!

PLEASE HELP SHARING

Thank you once again for your continuing support. The report truly is an effort by the entire community. Please help us to share the report on Social Media as well as in your active academic and societal network. The more people read this report, the higher the value for our community.

Kind regards
