William Lee Distinguished Professor of Management


Clemson University invites applications and nominations for the William Lee Distinguished Professor of Management, which is a tenured faculty position in the Department of Management. Review of applications will continue until the position is filled. The effective date of employment will be August 15, 2018, or when filled. Compensation will be competitive.

The Department has a team of over 35 diverse full-time faculty members researching diverse topics including Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management, Small Business Management, Human Resource Management, Organization Behavior, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, and International Business. Faculty have recently published in top-tier journals including MISQ, ISR, MS, OR, OS, AMR, AMJ, SMJ, POM, JOM, DSJ, EJOR, JAP, ETP, OBHDP, JMS and ASQ, as well as many others. The Department offers a Bachelor of Science degree in management with seven areas of emphasis, a Master of Science degree in management, and a Ph.D. degree in business administration. QUALIFICATIONS

We expect candidates to have a Ph.D. or other terminal degree from an accredited institution in business analytics, information systems management, or a closely related field. We are seeking candidates who have an active research program and a record of publications in top-tier journals in business analytics or information systems management, and in intersecting, inter-disciplinary areas that will warrant appointment at the rank of associate professor or professor. In addition, candidates should have excellent communication skills, and be able to teach at a level consistent with Clemson’s high standards. Importantly, we desire candidates who have experience mentoring and publishing with doctoral students and junior faculty, and who can interact effectively with peers in enhancing the intellectual climate of the Department, College and University. Preference will be given to those who can establish and foster interdisciplinary and collaborative research programs.
