The first INFORMS workshop on Data Science (http://2017.dsconf.org/) is about one month away. You all are cordially invited to participate. As a pre-conference of the INFORMS meeting, you need to register through INFORMS, for which the deadline of early registration is about 10 days away - September 29th.

Here are some highlights of DS2017 we would like to bring to your attention:


1.      25 presentations of high quality business data science studies.

2.      Keynote speech by Professor Ramayya Krishnan (Dean of CMU's Heinz School).

3.      Deans' panel on Data Science, featuring Ramayya Krishnan (CMU), Paulo Goes (Arizona), Bruce Weber (Delaware), and Qiang Ye (Harbin Institute of Technology).

4.      Editors' panel on publishing data science studies: confirmed panelists including Arun Rai (EIC of MISQ), Alex Tuzhilin (EIC, ACM TMIS), Foster Provost (Former EIC of Machine Learning), Olivia Sheng (SE of ISR).
