The Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine is seeking candidates to fill two positions in Information Systems to begin as early as July 1, 2018.
Position 1
The Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine is seeking candidates to fill a tenure-track position in Information Systems to begin as early as July 1, 2018. The position may be at any rank: Assistant Professor (untenured), Associate Professor (with tenure) or Full Professor (with tenure).
We are seeking individuals with active research programs in Information Systems, especially candidates who specialize in the Economics of Information Systems or in Business Analytics. Preference may be given to candidates who are qualified to teach courses in advanced data analytics (e.g. machine learning, natural language processing, and big data management). Evidence of or the potential for excellent teaching in the MBA core is desirable. A Ph.D. in Information Systems or relevant discipline, completed by Summer 2018, is required. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Position 2
The Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine is seeking candidates to fill a Lecturer in Information Systems (within the Security of Employment series) to begin as early as July 1, 2018. The Security of Employment series requires, in addition to excellent teaching and service, externally recognized professional and scholarly achievement in the candidate's specific discipline and/or of pedagogy.
We are seeking individuals with a commitment to excellence in teaching and research (academic, professional, and/or pedagogic) in Information Systems and in service to the University and the academy. Preference may be given to candidates who are qualified to teach courses in advanced data analytics (e.g. machine learning, natural language processing, and big data management). Evidence of or the potential for excellent teaching in the MBA core is desirable. A Ph.D. in Information Systems or relevant discipline, completed by Summer 2018, is required. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
