Why Health IT?
Health IT industry is growing rapidly and creating tremendous job opportunities. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the employment of health information technology (HIT) professionals is expected to grow by more than 12% from 2016 to 2026, faster than the average for all occupations.
According to Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the U.S. healthcare spending will account for over 20% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by 2025. This creates an increasing demand for professionals with healthcare IT experience - and for faculty to teach them - in the years to come.
