***Research Focus***

The German Internet Institute in Berlin, Germany invites applications for a
Doctoral Position in the research group "Data as a Means of Payment". This
position will focus on the following research areas:

- User Perceptions and Behavior in the Context of Data Privacy
- The Role of Cognitive Biases in Privacy Decisions
- The Price of Privacy
- Privacy by Design
- User Attitudes towards Data Protection
- Information Sharing on Social Media: The Role of Privacy Concerns
- Analysis of Online Behavioral Patterns in the Context of Data Privacy

***Terms of employment***

The starting date for this position is  1st of February or later. This
position has a workload of 40 hours per week (100% position) and is limited
till 14.09.2020.

***Requirements***

- Master Degree (or equivalent) in Information Systems, Business
Administration, Psychology or Social Sciences (GPA above average)
- Solid knowledge of quantitative methods (e.g. SPSS)
- Advanced English skills (both oral and written)
- Interest in user behavior, user perceptions, especially in terms of
privacy and data protection

***Responsibilities***

- Research as part of the interdisciplinary research group (e.g. literature
review and analysis, conceptualization of research design and data
collection, data analysis, presentation and publication of research results.
- Participation in collaborative activities of the German Internet Institute
- Work on the dissertation
