Non-Tenure Track Advisor-Instructor position at the University of North Florida

A non-tenure track, renewable, 12-month Advisor-Instructor position is available in the School of Computing (SoC) at the University of North Florida. The successful candidate will be expected to establish and maintain a record of:
(1) professional advising within the SoC student population
(2) excellent teaching within the SoC curricula and
(3) outstanding contributions in service to SoC and throughout the University.

Advising duties include, but are not limited to: working with current and prospective computing students; providing transition assistance; providing information about SoC academic programs and graduation requirements; planning and conducting orientation and recruitment sessions; advising students; assisting students, faculty, and staff on matters related to SoC undergraduate programs, academic policies, and procedures; and performing any additional duties that may be assigned by the SoC Director. Instructor duties include teaching upper and lower level School of Computing courses as needed within information technology, computer science, information systems, or information science.

The successful candidate will have an earned master's degree in a Computing discipline (computer science, information systems, information science or information technology) or a master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in Computing. Relevant advising and/or teaching experience is preferred. Candidates with strong technical background are encouraged to apply.
