A full-time postdoctoral research position in the area of data management is available at the University of Hong Kong, starting from June 2018 or earlier. The position is for one year and renewable to up to two years depending on the performance of the applicant, assessed by the publication of the work in top peer reviewed conferences and journals. Interested applicants must have a strong background in the area of database management and data mining with a good working knowledge of mathematics demonstrated through publications in international conferences and journals. Experience and knowledge in big transportation data is a plus. The postdoc is expected to work on topics under the main theme of big transportation data, such as incident prediction, transportation data quality, and scalable system development.

Excellent verbal and written skills in English are required. The monthly salary of the appointed researcher will be in the range US$3250 to US$4830 depending on qualifications and experience.
