IE University´s graduate school of business- IE Business School- (www.ie.edu<http://www.ie.edu>) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant professor level in the Information Systems and Technology Department, starting in the 2019 academic year. Our school has a group of dynamic scholars working in all areas of management including information systems, and we are looking to expand our faculty.
The successful candidate will be expected to have an active research program resulting in publications in top-tier peer-reviewed journals, to teach high level MBA and executive courses, to interact and work closely with faculty from other disciplines, and to provide intellectual leadership in his/her area. Applicants will have earned a PhD from a recognized university in a relevant discipline (entry-level candidates can be close to completion). Previous experience in teaching is a plus and proficiency in Spanish is desirable, but not required. Salary for this position will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Preference will be given to candidates that complement our existing research strengths in the following (but not limited to) areas: IT strategy and innovation, e-business, smart cities, e-health, big data and business analytics, machine learning, cybersecurity, and emergent technologies (e.g., Blockchain, AI, VR/AR, IoT).
