The Management Information Systems department at Universite Laval is calling for candidates who hold a Ph.D degree in administration with a specialization in management information systems (or equivalent). Candidates from all university ranks are accepted.

Job Description

  1.  Teaching management information systems to undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students, in fields related to the position.
  2.  Conduct research in management information systems in fields related to the position.
  3.  Supervise the research activities of graduate and doctoral students (thesis, memoirs and essays) and participate in continuing education activities.
  4.  Contribute to the life of the department, school and university.
  5.  Develop ties with the community.

Selection Criteria

Candidates must :

  1.  hold a Ph.D. degree in administration with a specialization in management information systems or equivalent. Candidates may be in the process of completing their doctoral studies in this field.
  2.  present an excellent publication record or a great potential for future publications;
  3.  be able to teach in the fields represented by the MIS department;
  4.  demonstrate research interests compatible with those of the Management Information Systems Department;
  5.  during a presentation to the department members of the candidate's research, demonstrate one's ability to transmit research results effectively, explain the scientific implications as well as contributions to business management;
  6.  during a presentation to the department members, demonstrate one's ability to deliver with pedagogy quality teaching in the field of expertise;
  7.  Have aptitudes for communicating and teaching in French, as well as a mastery of English;
  8.  Know the various fields in administration;
  9.  Demonstrate the ability to obtain research funding.

The application package must include copies of diplomas conferred, a letter of intention and a detailed resume presenting experience, publications and ongoing research.
