The Paper-a-Thon is a new type of track that has been successfully piloted
at ICIS 2017 and will be continued at ICIS 2018. The goal of this 'paper
hackathon' will be to facilitate new research collaborations. The format is
an intense two-day working session where researchers self-organize to work
under the mentorship of prominent IS scholars and then present the results
to a panel of journal editors. Some of these presentations will be invited
for a final presentation and included as accepted ICIS proceedings. After
ICIS, at least one paper (three last year) will be invited for a
fast-tracked review process for possible publication in JAIS as early as
within six months. Those looking to participate in the paper-a-thon should
submit a 1-3 page proposal describing what they can bring to the hackathon
(i.e. data, method, perspective, domain expertise).
For the full track description, please refer to:

Proposals should be submitted using the submission site:

Submissions are due on September 1st, 11:59 p.m. US EDT.
