Lehigh University’s Department of Management seeks to fill one tenure track
position at the assistant professor or associate professor level beginning
August 2019. The candidate must hold a Ph.D. in Information Systems or a
related area from an AACSB accredited institution by the time of employment
in August 2019.

The successful candidate will be joining faculty in the department who
publish in top-ranked journals such as Academy of Management Journal,
Decision Sciences, Information Systems Research, Journal of the Association
for Information Systems, Management Information Systems Quarterly,
Management Science, Organization Science, and Strategic Management Journal.
Unique opportunities relating to researching and teaching at Lehigh include
the Data X initiative (http://lehigh.edu/datax). A multi-year,
multi-college initiative, Data X spurs the creation of new research
initiatives and the strengthening of interdisciplinary teams, programs, and
research labs exploring the broad application of data-driven techniques to
the sciences, engineering, arts, and humanities. Data X includes not just
the analysis of data, but also elements needed to gather, author,
distribute, secure and visualize data in the broadest sense. The department
of Management also includes with the Center for Supply Chain Research (
https://cbe.lehigh.edu/centers/lehigh-center-for-supply-chain-research) as
well as close ties with the Mountaintop Initiative, the Nasdaq
Entrepreneurial Center, and the Baker Institute for Entrepreneurship,
Creativity, and Innovation. Teaching responsibilities with this position
may include undergraduate classes in the Business Information Systems (BIS)
major, BIS minor, Data Analytics Certificate, and FinTech minor, and
graduate classes in the MBA program.
