Dear Colleagues - Louisiana Tech University’s Computer Information Systems department is recruiting four top-notch student candidates for our doctoral program, the cohort to commence in August 2020.
Our departmental specialty is Information Security and we house an NSA/DHS accredited Center of Academic Excellence in Cuber Defense Education, Research and Operations.
The CIS department features two Eminent Scholars (Tom Stafford and Craig Van Slyke) who serve to mentor collegial research relationships with doctoral students, as well as two energetic and motivated junior colleagues who are making their mark in the behavioral security research (Jake Lee and Michele Maasberg). Our IT Security constituents include the national defense consultancy of General Dynamics Information Technology, and CenturyLink in the secured network services market.
The CIS department hosts an internationally recognized ACM research journal (The Data Base for Advances in Information Systems), it has recently hosted the Americas Conference for Information Systems (AMCIS 2018) and will be hosting the 2019 IFIP Dewald Roode Information Security Workshop.
We encourage you to refer your best masters students for application to a program that is designed to build and retain scholarly visibility in the field.
Interested parties can enquire directly of the doctoral coordinator, Tom Stafford (stafford at LaTech.edu), or the Associate Dean for Graduate Studies, Doug Amyx (damyx at latech.edu). We welcome your interest and participation.
