Vacancy: Tenure-track Position for Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in the Department of Information Systems

The Department of Information Systems in the College of Business at the City University of Hong Kong invites applications for one or more tenure-track position(s) at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor starting in January 2020 or September 2020.

Candidates must have received a doctorate in Information Systems or a related area. Candidates must also have a strong commitment to high-quality research and excellent teaching in the Information Systems field. For appointments at the Associate Professor level, a substantial track record of research publications in top-tier journals is essential. For appointments at the Assistant Professor level, strong indication of the ability to publish in top tier journals is critical.

Successful candidates should have the ability to teach at both graduate (MBA/MSc) and undergraduate (BBA) levels. Candidates with teaching experience in business analytics, IS planning and strategy, and Fintech-related/data science-related courses are at a distinct advantage.  The ability to teach other courses in Information Systems is welcome. Experience in administrative work is a plus. The successful candidate should demonstrate the capacity to motivate students to appreciate the value of innovative information management on businesses in the Internet era.
