Dear Privacy Colleagues,

My name is Ieva Masevic and I am a Ph.D.candidate at Queen's University Belfast. We are currently conducting an exploratory study which aims to examine and generate insights into how consumers make the decision to whether or not use emerging technologies such as Consumer IoT. Particularly, we are interested to see which factors influence consumers to use consumer IoT and the factors which hinder this process. We aim to explore this across a broad array of Consumer IoT technologies such as smart wearables (e.g., Fitbit, Smart Watch), smart home appliances (e.g. smart lights, smart locks, digital assistants, etc.) and smart cars.

We are currently recruiting a sample which includes experts from a variety of disciplines and in this case privacy.

Participation would involve a short Skype interview, inclusive of 4 general questions and would not last longer than 30 mins.

If you would have the time and interest to participate, please can you get in touch via the following (imasevic01 at qub.ac.uk) and I will share participant information which includes further details to the study.

All the best,

Ieva
