Colleagues –

Craig van Slyke and I are pleased to announce that we’re accepting applications from candidates for the 2020 cohort of the Computer Information Systems doctoral program at Louisiana Tech. Having hosted, just in the past year, the AMCIS 2018 conference, SIGMIS CPR and the IFIP Dewald Roode Information Security Workshop, in addition to providing an academic base for celebrating the 50th anniversary year of The DATA BASE for Advances in Information Systems, CIS at Tech is a rising star in the field. Our topical expertise areas for teaching and research reside in information security, behavioral information systems research, and the Accounting-IT interface.

Your Master’s students who seek further career advancement in academics will find our program to be personal, interactive and productive; our work with doctoral students typically leads to journal publications in advance of graduation, and subsequent academic placements that reflect such experiences.

Further information for interested candidates is at https://business.latech.edu/doctorate-of-business-administration-d-b-a/, but I am also happy to speak directly to candidates on the phone (318-257-3886) or via email (stafford at latech.edu). It’s a rich and exciting opportunity and we want to recruit a strong cohort, so any assistance you can provide in publicizing this is certainly appreciated.

Regards to all,

Tom
