Pre-ICIS Workshop Towards Health Futures: Demystifying Bio Data Governance and Practices

All IS researchers are invited to attend the "Towards Health Futures Workshop" before ICIS 2019 on Sunday, Dec 15 from 9:00 to 14:00 (location tba).

Participants of the workshop learn about the destabilizing character of the conjunction between digitization and biology for health futures. The workshop introduces two panels and an introductory session into bio data infrastructures, tools, and practices.

Talking about bio data practices and governance from buttom-up, i.e., wearable data:

Talking about bio data practices and data governance in genomics:

  *   Ali Sunyaev (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology)

Following panel sessions and lunch, an extended session shares hands-on experience on working with bio data infrastructures and tools. The workshop is organized by Katharina Lauer from ELIXIR.
