The Department of Information Systems in the College of Business at the University of Nevada, Reno invites applications for a Lecturer (non-tenure track) with an anticipated start date of July 1st, 2020. Primary responsibilities will include teaching in our new online Masters of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program, as well as, other classes to be determined based on individual preferences and departmental needs. The successful candidate will also be expected to make service contributions to the department, college, university, community, and profession commensurate with rank.


*         Department Information: The Department of Information Systems is located in the College of Business at the University of Nevada, Reno and includes 11 faculty members.  The College of Business at Nevada is accredited by the AACSB for both its business and accounting programs.  The college has approximately 75 full-time faculty offering strong and cohesive undergraduate and graduate degree programs with 12 different majors available for undergraduate students, including a major and minor in Information Systems.  The college also offers an MBA  and 4 specialized master's degrees,  including one in Information Systems and one online Business Analytics.  The college has a doctoral program in Economics and Business Administration.  Faculty from different disciplines in the college work together to study exciting and challenging topics, resulting in interdisciplinary publications and new course content.  Faculty in the College of Business also collaborate on research with faculty across the university campus in such diverse areas as medicine, health sciences, computer science and engineering, and political science. The College encourages and supports a balanced work environment of scholarship, teaching, service and professional engagement.
