Position Description: The Milgard School of Business at the University of Washington Tacoma invites applications for an experienced Tenure Track Assistant Professor in its AACSB-accredited program. This full-time position has a 9-month service period and begins September 2020 (Autumn Quarter). The successful applicant is expected to be an integral member of a team of faculty and staff that are committed to excellence and further expanding a growing successful center for business analytics and information-based management.

Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate a record of effective teaching and sustained, successful research. We seek candidates that will contribute as engaged colleagues to serve our growing school and campus.  Applicants must demonstrate a strong teaching and research record related to data analytics. We will consider candidates from the Management Information Systems/Technology, Operations Management, Management Science, Decision Science, Industrial & Systems Engineering, or other related fields.

Teaching qualifications and/or interests should include undergraduate and graduate courses in several of the following areas: business intelligence & analytics, data/text mining, database management, business process management, prescriptive analytics, analytical decision-making, machine learning, cognitive analytics, artificial intelligence, information systems & technology, R and/or Python Programming, cloud services for analytics, and various analytics like, supply chain/logistics, healthcare, social media, marketing, human resource management, financial, retail etc. analytics. 

Applicants must have at least two years of successful research and teaching experience and a doctoral degree (or foreign equivalent) in Management Information Systems/Technology, Operations Management, Management Science, Decision Science or Industrial & Systems Engineering, or another field with a substantial focus on data analytics.
