<>The Fubon Center for Technology, Business and Innovation (www.stern.nyu.edu/fubon <http://www.stern.nyu.edu/fubon>) at New York University’s Stern School of Business is seeking outstanding applications for a postdoctoral position as a Fubon Center Faculty Fellow.
The Fubon Center Fellow will lead an independent, original research program during their time at the Center, targeted at creating significant research impact in one or more of the Fubon Center’s areas of focus. They will be encouraged to develop interdisciplinary collaborations with faculty at the Stern Business School. Successful candidates will bring a research agenda that can take advantage of the unique intellectual opportunities afforded by NYU Stern and will have experience working with researchers across different fields.
This is a full-time non-tenure position, with a light teaching load of one (1) data-science-focused course per year in as the primary instructor. The Fellow will also be expected to participate in the Fubon Center’s activities (such as speaking at conferences).
Appointments will be for two years, with re-appointment after the first year pending satisfactory review. Fellows will be offered competitive salary and benefits, with funds to support research and travel. We envision a start date of September 1, 2020.

The Fubon Center also helps shape future coursework to align with a rapidly evolving business landscape. The Center hosts conferences, funds research projects, and engages in community outreach activities that help to make research both rigorous and accessible. Our objectives are to:
· Support and foster state-of-the-art research in fintech, data analytics, tech innovation, artificial intelligence, and data science for business
· To create synergistic collaborative relationships between scholars and practitioners across disciplinary and industry boundaries
· To increase the accessibility of fintech, data science, and innovation research to a wide audience
Qualifications:
The Fubon Center Fellow will have deep expertise in the area of data science. Candidates with a strong technical background, such as a Ph.D. in Computer Science or related disciplines are preferred.
Application Instructions:
A candidate should have a PhD or be assured of its completion within one year of September 2020 and is expected to be an outstanding researcher and teacher able to teach data science courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Please submit your curriculum vitae, list of publications, and a brief statement of research interests (no longer than 4 pages).
Applicants should also arrange to have three letters of recommendation (to be submitted by the reference writers) along with the application.
To ensure full consideration, the deadline for submitting all application materials is January 31, 2020. However, applications will be accepted and evaluated until the position is filled. We expect to start interviewing candidates in early February and conclude our interviews in March.
