[AISWorld] FutureBAProf workshop for advanced PhD students and postdocs

The Department of Business Analytics at the University of Iowa is hosting a
two day workshop for advanced PhD students and postdocs.  The goal is to
demystify academic careers in business analytics and help participants
prepare for the job market and careers in this exciting field.  We
particularly want to encourage women, students from underrepresented
groups, and students from departments outside business schools to apply.



The website is now up (https://tippie.uiowa.edu/FutureBAProf), and students
can apply online.  All accepted applicants will attend for *free *including
air travel.   The only restriction is that students are at a U.S.
institution.  Applications are due *March 1*.



The workshop will be held in Iowa City from May 18 (opening reception) –
May 20.  Participants will have opportunities to learn more about what
research falls in business analytics departments, practice networking with
business analytics faculty, get hands-on assistance with application
writing, get expert job search advice, and learn about forming helpful
industry connections.   Faculty from many different business analytics
programs will participate in this workshop, with the plenary given by
Professor Anna Nagurney from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.
