Management, Information Systems, and Entrepreneurship

The Department of Management, Information Systems, and Entrepreneurship in the Carson College of Business at Washington State University in Pullman, WA is seeking qualified candidates for one or more full-time non-tenure track assistant professor or non-tenure track associate professor positions. These positions are subject to budget approval.

Qualifications: Requires a minimum of an earned master's degree in Information Systems or closely aligned field from a nationally or internationally recognized university by the employment start date. Demonstrated ability in teaching face-to-face and/or online environments OR significant experience in training and/or mentoring within the business environment.

Preferred qualifications: The preferred candidate must be capable of teaching the introductory information systems course as well as various information systems courses, which could include database management, programming, systems analysis and design, data analytics, and cybersecurity. Experience with case-based or other interactive teaching methods is also desired.

Duties: Teach in face-to-face and/or distance-learning programs, and make service contributions to his/her department, college, university, community, and profession.  This is a 9-month academic appointment with an expected teaching load that varies from 9 hours to 12 hours (3 or 4 courses /semester), depending on the position and qualifications of the candidate. Research may also be part of this position depending on the qualifications of the candidate.

Term, Compensation, and Support: The term of appointment is a nine-month academic year, beginning on DATE. Salary and benefits are competitive; the retirement system is TIAA. Initial summer research support is normally available for more junior faculty; competitive summer research grants are also normally available.
