The Foisie Business School at Worcester Polytechnic Institute invites
applications for a full-time Visiting Teaching Professor (non-tenure track)
opening in Management Information Systems (MIS). The position will commence
August 15, 2020.  Rank will be commensurate with experience.  Multiple-year
contracts will be considered for the appropriate candidate and funding
availability.



Qualifications: The ideal applicant will have a PhD in MIS or a closely
related area with teaching interests related to business analytics. The
applicant should be prepared to teach our introductory MIS, Data Analytics,
and Business Intelligence courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
ABDs may be considered.



Expectations: The selected faculty member will teach six courses during the
academic year, most likely three or four at the graduate level in our MBA,
M.S. in Information Technology, or M.S. in Business Analytics program, and
two or three in the B.S. in MIS program. Graduate courses meet for three
hours one night a week on campus or are delivered online. Undergraduate MIS
courses meet twice a week for two hours during the day over a seven-week
term. Research, especially that leading to publication in refereed
journals, is supported, and encouraged. Rank will be commensurate with
experience. Multiple-year contracts will be considered for the appropriate
candidate and funding availability. Courses may include: MIS 584, MIS 4084,
MIS 502, MIS 581, BUS 3010.
