*Position*: The Department of Business Information & Technology in the
Fogelman College of Business and Economics at the University of Memphis is
seeking qualified applicants for a Visiting Assistant/Associate Professor
of Business Information and Technology for the 2020-2021 academic year
(non-tenure-track).  This is a 9-month non-tenure-track appointment.
Hiring is contingent on final budget approval.



*Qualifications:* Ph.D. in management information systems or related
discipline is strongly desired.  Candidates with an appropriate master’s
degree (e.g., MBA) and significant related experience will be considered.
Prior college teaching experience in business analytics, programming,
business intelligence, technical classes, and online instruction at the
graduate level is preferred.  Preference will be given to research active
candidates.



*Responsibilities:*  Effectively delivering course instruction, evaluating
student learning, conducting research, participating in related department
activities, and complying with all College and University regulations.
Teaching expectations for this position will be three to four 3-credit
courses per semester. Additional courses may be assigned when no evidence
of research output is provided. For this position, the visiting
Assistant/Associate Professor will be responsible for teaching on-ground
and/or on-line sections in topic areas such as business analytics,
application development, and business intelligence.
