Researcher with Tenure-Track to Senior Researcher

at the Faculty of ”Business Studies and Economics” with a focus on Work Psychology and Organizational Development starting at the Oct. 1, 20
Initially, the appointment is limited to four years (salary group 14 TV-L). The employment is regulated by the Act of Academic Fixed-Term Contract, §2 (1) (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz – WissZeitVG). Therefore, candidates may only be considered for appointment if they still have the respective qualification periods available in accordance with § 2 (1) WissZeitVG. The permanent position of a Senior Researcher (salary group 15 TV-L) can be assigned in case of proof of outstanding aptitude, performance and competence after successful completion of an evaluation. Research and scientific teaching are carried out independently within the framework of the Bremen Higher Education Act (§ 24). The teaching responsibilities are four weekly hours per semester in the position as Researcher and nine weekly hours as Senior Researcher.
The researchers research and teaching duties will focus on Business Psychology while having touch-points with research on Management Information Systems. The teaching responsibilities are eight weekly hours per semester in the position as Lecturer and twelve weekly hours as Senior Lecturer.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
You do research in one or more of the designated areas: „Digital Transformation of Work“, „Digital Entrepreneurship and Digital Innovation”, „Changing Nature of Work“, „Platform Economy“, „Communications and Collaboration Systems” , „Enterprise Social Media“, „Human-Technology Interaction” and your research yields publications in well-ranked academic journals
You independently organize and conduct teaching in the abovementioned areas, particular in the master’s curriculum on Business Psychology, and you will actively contribute to all teaching programs at the Faculty of Business Studies and Economics
You contribute to further developing the portfolio of courses at the Faculty of Business Studies and Economics; especially through the design and implementation of novel course formats
You raise competitive third-party funding
You engage in academic self-governance
Your qualifications (recruitment requirements):
You have a diploma, master’s or equivalent degree in business and/ or management information systems and/or Business Psychology, and/ or applied cognitive and media science granted by a university
You have an outstanding, recently finished dissertation in one of the abovementioned areas
You have published work that relates to one or more of the abovementioned areas
You have solid knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods
You have taught in one or more of the abovementioned areas
You have outstanding German and English language skills
Further are desirable:
You have gathered experience abroad and build an international network that you can leverage to advance research and teaching at the Faculty of Business Studies and Economics
You master contemporary media and presentation techniques in your teaching
Your communication skills are outstanding
