The Department of Information and Technology Management (ITM) at The University of Tampa's Sykes College of Business invites applicants for tenure track assistant professor in Cybersecurity area to start in fall 2021.
The ITM department offers degree programs at undergraduate and graduate levels in Management Information Systems, Business Information Technology, Financial Enterprise Systems, and Cybersecurity. In addition to the undergraduate and graduate degrees in Cybersecurity, there are two state of the art Cybersecurity labs with a lab coordinator. The Sykes College of Business is accredited by AACSB and the MIS program in the ITM department is accredited by ABET. The department is planning to achieve ABET and DHS/NSA accreditation for the Cybersecurity programs.
The University of Tampa is a medium-sized, comprehensive, residentially based private institution of 9,200 undergraduate and graduate students. The University is ideally situated on a beautiful 110-acre campus next to the Hillsborough River, adjacent to Tampa's dynamic central business district, which is a growing, vibrant, diverse metropolitan area. Responsibilities include teaching three four-credit hour courses at graduate and undergraduate levels during each semester in the Cybersecurity area such as information security principles, risk management and compliance, and security governance. The faculty is also expected to be involved in publishing articles in high quality peer reviewed journals and engage in service and student involvement opportunities at the department, college, and university levels.
Required qualifications
Holds a Ph.D. from an AACSB/ABET accredited school in the field of Cybersecurity, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related fields.
Teaching specialization required: Cybersecurity.
