The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate students,
conduct scholarly and applied research, and engage in service-related
activities. Primary teaching responsibilities and research interests will
be in the area of Information Systems:
Systems Analysis and Design
Database Systems
Network management
Cybersecurity
Management Information Systems
Computer Programming - Python
Specific assignments are dependent on departmental needs and the background
of the individual. Department faculty arecommitted to student success and
continue to develop new course curriculum,
including service-learning courses, and web-enhanced or web-based
instruction. There may be opportunities to teach in the Executive MBA
and/or Accelerated Bachelor's in Business Administration programs.
Our campus culture requires an environment that cooperatively works with
faculty, staff, and students in the department, college, and university.
Required Education:
An earned doctorate (Ph.D. or DBA) in Information Systems or other
closely-related disciplines from an accredited institution is required;
however, applicants nearing completion of the doctorate (ABD) may be
considered. For continued employment in the tenure-track position the
doctorate must be completed by August 16th, 2022.
Required Experience:
1) Successful teaching experience at the undergraduate level;
2) Evidence of publications in scholarly journals, and;
3) Ability to demonstrate acommitment to working effectively with faculty,
staff, and students from
diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred candidates will show evidence of having: Business, managerial, or
professional experience in Information Systems (with priority for
Systems Analysis and Design, Network Management, Cybersecurity, or
Programming).
