The expectations in research and scholarship are to focus on
activities that ensure currency and engagement in the discipline,
especially pedagogy. Service contributions should be focused on

pedagogy. The teaching load for this position will be six courses per
year.

In particular, we are seeking candidates that are committed to
excellence in teaching, and are able to teach courses both within our
core undergraduate program as well as in our graduate program. In our
undergraduate program, the successful candidates will be expected to
teach several core courses at all levels from subject areas including
(but not limited to) Algorithms & Data Structures, Computing
Architecture, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Human Computer
Interaction, Operating Systems , Programming Languages, and Social &
Professional Issues in Computing. In our graduate program, the
successful candidate will be expected to teach one or two graduate
courses per year in their area of research interest. Experience
creating and revising course content is asset, as is experience in
teaching large classes, online classes and managing teaching teams.

As part of the application, candidates should provide evidence of the
depth and breadth of their teaching expertise, an established teaching
philosophy, three references, and a statement of how their research
interests inform their teaching. Candidates should provide an outline
of their research interests, and the description of at least one
graduate course that can be taught based on this research. Candidates
should demonstrate a commitment to academic service through committee
work, peer review activities, and the support of other academic work.

Applications must be submitted online at https://urcareers.uregina.ca
by January 15 2021, and should include a cover letter, a curriculum
vitae, and statements on teaching, research, and service as outlined
in the previous paragraph.

All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadian
citizens and permanent residents of Canada will be given priority. The
University of Regina is committed to an inclusive workplace that
reflects the richness of the community that we serve. The University
welcomes applications from all qualified individuals, including
