==============Author Guidelines==============

The workshop receives submissions of both research papers and technical
report papers.

Research Paper:

The research paper track welcomes papers that describe original and
unpublished work on news recommendation and intelligence. It will be open
for two types of submissions: long and short papers. Long paper submissions
may contain up to eight (8) pages of main content (including all tables,
figures and formulas), plus one additional page for references. It is
recommended to include thorough evaluation and analysis in long paper
submissions. Short paper submissions may contain up to four (4) pages of
main content, plus one additional page for references. The following types
of work are recommended to be submitted as a short paper: (a) a small,
focused contribution; (b) an interesting application or real-world system;
(c) negative results; (d) an opinion piece or working project. Both long
and short research papers need to be fully anonymized for double-blind
review. Each accepted research paper will be presented orally or as posters
as determined by the program committee, which is decided based on the
nature rather than the quality of the work.

Technical Report Paper:

The technical report paper track welcomes papers that describe the systems
participated in the MIND News Recommendation Competition as well as the
results submitted to the MIND leaderboard after the competition. Technical
report paper submissions may contain up to four (4) pages of main content,
plus one additional page for references. Submissions may focus on
describing the details of system design and settings, and provide
discussions on the results wherever appropriate. Technical report papers
should not be anonymized. All authors' identities and affiliations need to
be clearly stated. Each accepted technical report paper will be presented
orally or as posters as determined by the program committee, which is
decided based on the nature rather than the quality of the work or the
reported results.

==============Formatting and Submission==============

Submissions need to be in English, in PDF format, and in the latest ACM
two-column conference format. Suitable LaTeX, Word, and Overleaf templates
are available from the ACM Website (use the "sigconf" proceedings
template). Submission is fully electronic, using the EasyChair conference
management system for all paper submissions. The submission site is now
available at https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=nri1.

==============Multiple-Submission Policy==============

The workshop does not accept submissions that have been or will be
submitted to other archival venues whose review processes are overlaps with
this workshop. In addition, a paper may only be submitted to a single track
in a single form, i.e., either long research, short research or technical
report.
