DESCRIPTION
Digital Innovation is an emerging field and regarded as a transformation agent that specially focuses on the development and use of digital technologies to create and implement digital solutions based on state-of-the art digital technologies to transform/digitize organizational processes, systems, and infrastructures within our immediate society. New products, services, business models and industry have all continuously influenced by these technologies.
The goal of this mini track is to offer a venue for research that addresses any of the topics related with digital innovation.  This includes research into the antecedents and effects of digital technologies on different forms of organizational innovation, such as process innovation and product/service innovation; the role of digital technologies in enabling new business models and transforming organizations, and vice versa. Digital innovation also opens up opportunities for entrepreneurship by leveraging digital technologies to start and grow new businesses in established companies or as start-ups. Topics that broadly explores the role of digital technologies in entrepreneurship are also welcome in this mini track. These topics include but are not limited to new ventures and digital business and entrepreneurship within organizations enabled by digital technologies.
This mini track welcomes studies that focus on a particular form of digital technology in the context of organizational innovation, transformation, and entrepreneurship. Beyond this requirement, this mini track is open to all forms of research, including qualitative, quantitative, mixed, and conceptual papers.
