Junior Faculty Consortium: Sunday June 13 2021
We invite all IS Early Career/Junior Faculty to apply for participating in the upcoming ECIS Junior Faculty Consortium. There is no extra registration fee - registration to the AIS Virtual Conference Series (ECIS, PACIS, AMIS) will take care of the consortium - https://aisnet.org/news/560236/Announcing-the-AIS-2021-Virtual-Conference-Series-VCS.htm
How does one go about becoming an inspired, responsible and successful senior member of the Academy when one cannot meet F2F with colleagues even in one's own University, let alone around the world? Our focus will be on how early career faculty can develop research collaborations and professional relationships in the current (and future) times, with traditional modes for collegial interaction being upended.
We will have panels, discussions, and interactive sessions built around issues that our early career colleagues face in a world increasingly subject to major disruptions. A select group of senior IS faculty from universities around the world will serve as mentors to the participants. Each participant will have the opportunity to interact with them and with other participants to share their experiences, thoughts, and concerns about developing a career in the Academy.
We look forward to receiving your ECIS 2021 Junior Faculty Consortium applications.
